About Dr. Wagner

Dr. Angelina “Lina” Wagner is…

a mother, researcher, community advocate, and candidate for
Connecticut’s 51st House District.

Lina’s path has not been a traditional one. She overcame significant challenges early in life, eventually earning her high school diploma as an adult before pursuing higher education. Her experiences taught her resilience, determination, and the importance of creating opportunities for others. Today, Lina holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Global Business Management, a Master of Science in Entertainment Business, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing for Entertainment. Throughout her career, she has worked in healthcare administration, program management, community services, grant-funded programs, and business operations. These experiences have given her firsthand insight into the challenges facing working families, healthcare providers, small businesses, and local communities. Lina is also a proud mother of three daughters, including a child with autism and a daughter with ADHD. Her experiences as a parent have shaped her understanding of the importance of strong schools, accessible services, and support systems for families. Since moving to the Quiet Corner, Lina has become actively involved in community advocacy, helping residents access information, understand local issues, and engage in the democratic process. She believes leadership begins with listening, and that public service should always put people before politics.
